pretend pewter.....

i am really not a fancy dish kind of gal.............except for mom's bluebird dishes..................but i do like the pewter look.......................can i afford it..................no............................so i go for the next best thing................THE LOOK.............................(i do that with alot of things, by the way)....................so if is tarnished silver and has the pewter look....i am all over it..............i have had this little compote for awhile, with nowhere to go........and a few months ago found this little butter dish..................then the other day.....i found the condiment set.........love the three together and now they are on the harvest table for a little different look................................. ...................................................................................i am blessed !

Everything looks great together -- and they make a very pretty table grouping!
I have several pieces of "faux" pewter in my hutch -- to me they look just as good as the real thing.... and for a lot less money!!

I love the look. My eye is drawn to this kind of stuff in the antique shops. Love the Ashokan Farewell on the fiddle for your music. Made me want to pull mine out and rosin up the bow!
