I hope you've cooled off with some lovely sweet tea in the shade. As for the project...I love it! It looks fabulous! Makes me realize that I could do that to an inexpensive set and get a good look for my little dining area!

Wow, you were a brave woman to tackle such a big job, but one that turned out wonderful. I just love it. Would love to have it in my kitchen.

Awesome job, Denise!! But, arghhh...all those twists and turnings!! You post did make me chuckle somewhat....I have been, for sometime, been thinking about changing out my dining table and chairs...but given the limited and awkward area they are in, I can't just fit "any" table in the space...and there isn't a ready supply of good old tables to choose from in these parts....Seeing all the wonderful "re-do's" out there, the thought started creeping into my brain the past several weeks of sanding/stripping and painting the set I have....Ummmm...I'm thinking maybe not so much now....unless I can find someone like you in Nod who's silly enough to take it on!!! ;o) Loves truly great - I'm sure the owner will love it!! Wishing you a week filled with blessings....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

thanks to all of you......she did love it.....i finished yesterday, called her, she picked it up last night!........Robin....i used the new Annie Sloan chalk paint....no sanding, no primer.....then antique with what you like.....i love the way it sanded off, did not care for her wax so much, used my method on the chairs, but Annie Sloan wax on top of the table (that was a struggle for me), but it was also my first time using it (first mistake), don't try something new on someone elses piece....LESSONS LEARNED !
