in the cold of the night......

seems like we just jumped into the cold ..... the days were warm & suddenly it is here ..... that time when we love to snuggle under a blanket and sit close to the fire ......... that day we realize what is coming ... we become ever so mindful of how things are brown ... and dreary & cold when we look out the window and can no longer linger in the yard to spruce up our surroundings ........ i think it is God's way of saying " rest a bit ".... time for us to concentrate on US ... our well being ... mental..physical..spiritual .....,,,,, the time to renew ourselves ... our indoor homes ... & tackling that long list of things to do ........,,, yes...,,,, that is what i will do .....,, first me ..... " renew me Oh Lord "...................i am blessed !

Beautiful. I like to say January is nap-time๐Ÿ˜Š Might not get much crossed off the to-do list that way though. Have a blessed day.

Denise, I hope the upcoming cold Winter will provide you a time of reflection and renewal. Nestling amid the cheerful decorations and lights of Christmas makes for a balm like none other. Cozy, and beautiful are helpful for quiet and simple days. Here in Florida, we don't have a Winter like you for withdrawal and renewal. But, we have the many migratory birds to fill our backyard feeders and cooler drier days to enjoy the outdoors and watch them. Blessings come in many forms. Enjoy these upcoming quiet weeks and have fun working on your to do list at the beautiful Mustard Seed Hill Homestead. I look forward to seeing what prims emerge this next Spring from your inspirations!!
