the lace still remains.....

in the recent redo of the craftroom.....
the tiny remnants of lace remain .....
occasionally i think we just need to slow down & look at the "design" of our life .....
we are woven into fine intricate little details ...... just like these bits of lace ...... hoping my life shows the " fine details & my lace remains......."

.................. i am blessed !

Denise, I would say that the careful and creative way you have decorated your home is a beautiful and heart felt tribute to the many threads of your family and loved ones. From your shared posts, it is evident to me that you have carefully preserved stories and cherished items from your family and families that were not your own. In clear ways, you have taken the time to archive and preserve a piece of history from whence you came and honored the threads of love and hard work that wove the path of your ancestors. Few people are willing to do this work and cherish what has been passed on to them in ways both direct and indirect. I thank-you for sharing with us ,here on your blog, how beauty and enrichment of the past can make modern day living possible while not throwing aside those things that got us to today's situation. The twentieth century was an era of great changes and many many improvements to everyday life. These changes were the building stones for the great work we enjoy to today in medicine, transportation, safety, and convenience. But, like you say, those threads of our past must be remembered and cherished because they are the foundations for our stories today! Thank-you for your post today and reminding people like me to remember and honor my threads of the past!
