the gift....

i don't remember if i have shared this gift with all of you..........a few years ago, a friend called .."would you like an old four-seater outhouse?"......"we will deliver!".........ummmm YES>>YES>>YES!.......the hubs gave the okay......it was transported about 6~ 8 miles on a low boy...............................trick being......we had to unload and put in place over the weekend....that was friday..................................ummmmm...........................need i say more.....the hubs was not a happy man..............after alot of ....shall we say unhappy hours and heavy manpower....................she was in place.........................................i must say one of my most prized possessions..............................the first thing i check on after a storm...........it still needs a bit of upkeep.....but for now she has a new home...............................i am thrilled that a little old lady in her eighty's, building a new garage, saw fit to have her saved..........thrilled my friend thought of me................................thrilled the hubs said yes...............and he didn't divorce me!.....still trying to plan the plantings around her........there is a firepit in front, that i would like to move, and make a pathway from the house..........................we shall see................................after all, i need to keep the peace.............................................. .............................................................................oh......i am so blessed!

Boy, oh Boy! Really love this! Am sooooo thankful I don't have to use one!! Looks straight off of a prairie! Can't wait to see what you do to decorate "her". Love it that your husband said yes! Just wonderful to save it. I love that the door knobs are on opposite sides, just adds more character! Your friends must really think a lot of you! Can't wait to see more!!

That is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time! I didn't even know they came in 4 seater versions!!! "She," I must say, has remarkable character - and looks like she belongs right where she is!! Wonderful, wonderful gift!! (And your hubby is pretty awesome too, I'd also say!!) Lucky you! It is wonderful! A pathway would be nice. Not many of these old outhouses left. So good you were able to relocate it & keep it around. My MIL offered me a one seater but Hubby did not want to move it. She only lives in our front yard. LOL! Well I ended up with a modern day built replica. My garden tools are in it. Blessings!
