a bluebird after the storm.....

storms come in so many forms .... weather related ..... spiritual ..... physical  .............. whatever type of storm we go through, they are all difficult to overcome ........... i have been through a variety of storms in my life  & i must say they are not fun at all ... but there is always a lesson!    

a few years ago when our daughter was so sick , i was so encouraged by a song "Don't let this storm pass me by". ...  "reveal your glory... redeem your grace"............   so in the midst of this "weather related storm"........  i was encouraged by this little bluebird as my reminder from heaven & my Mom

..............    (by the way we are safe) & things can be repaired!

sometimes ..... we just need to be quiet ..... and have a day of rest!

leaving the kitchen......

after spending days making my "faux salt dough" pies .... skillet cornbreads .... muffins ........ i will now be leaving the kitchen!  .............................. sometimes in life we also need to know when it is time to ...... "leave the kitchen"  .......... you know what i mean?  ........ time to leave hurts ... grudges ... bad attitudes ....... & you know they sure can "brew in that kitchen" .......... so here i

 am praying that it will be easy to close that "oven door & leave the kitchen" ..................... i am blessed!

don't forget the salt.....

in the oven today.... my "faux pies" ..... hoping ....they turn out a little better than my "faux cornbreads" that i forgot the salt!!!! .......................some days it is just hard to remember "the salt"........ you know what i mean...... we ARE TO BE THE SALT!.... the flavor....the seasoning .................... so others may SEE HIM!   .............. i have disappointed myself with people this week...didn't really show any salt & I have been heavy burdened........hoping God forgives my shortcomings & hoping a lesson learned!     

go sprinkle some salt!..................
