the temeratures have finally broken...........................ahhhhh, we can sit on the porch again.......time for a little .......... front porch sittin' .................................... .......................................................................................... i a blessed !

asher is napping............................i am trying to work on some faux redware plates (open house in 4 weeks!)......................................and i walk through this room...thinking..............................i just need a little change in here............................i don't know exactly what yet....and i always get the urge when i need to be doing other things....ugh!................................just a little here & there kinda touch maybe....................or maybe not............................afterall, other things do need to be done! ......................................................................................i am blessed !

the project.....!

remember the day last week...................you know the day...................the pity me day.....................this is the project that at times i wish i hadn't started............................a customer asked if i could paint her dining set....................research.......................sure, i can do that......................fast forward......100 degrees....hot...humid....garage.....sweat dripping from my face onto the paint...the wax................................................UGH...............................move it into the house......................................sand down.......start over......................now..........finished.......not so bad afterall..................it was worth it.............................yes, this was the project...........lessons learned ! ..........................................................................................i am blessed !

summertime...........

remember the days of snapping beans.........................a glass of tea in the old tin tumblers.................bringing out the canner............................washing the jars.....................waiting for the seal to pop.............................................................. .............................................................................................i am blessed !

the voice of a friend......

you know how you just have those days............................days you would rather stay in bed and hide from everything..............days you wish you had never started something..............days you miss your loved ones................................days you just realize that things are moving way too fast......................................

but then you recieve a call from a friend to just wish you a good day...........................................

morning mist....

this is the view to the back of our house .................................. i love this time of morning ......... not everything quite awake yet, except the cows .............................. their breakfast comes at 7:30 ....................... they slowly make their way to the barn ........................... i am amazed at how they can sense the time .................................... isn't it cool, how God saw fit for a cow to even sense time .......................... they know way more than we humans realize, i am sure ................ what joy the simple things can bring to our life ....... if we allow it ...................... .................................................................................... i am blessed !
