my favorite time of year............................love the smell........the colors.............the nip in the air..........................woodsmoke......................punkins & scarecrows................................we spent a couple of days helping our daughter & son-in-law ready their cornmaze...market....punkin patch...for their opening next weekend.......................i wish it was next door, but it's not..............it is a four hour drive for us....but doable........so thankful it is...............................what a blessing watching their dreams develop...................................if you are in the Fort Wayne, In area.....look them up......................... like them out on facebook....... birthday week......

this is birthday week for our family........................Marah on the right, celebrated last Sunday......and Megan on my left, celebrates this Saturday...................................in years past these two weeks were the highlight of the year...............with birthday parties.....cakes.........friends.......games........................................only one year did we combine the parties....(with four years difference, we found out quick it didn't work so well!)..................when did that all stop...................when did it become difficult to work in a birthday dinner.............now it's a card with a little surprise inside.....................a birthday song over the phone......."hope you have a great day!"......................and before i know it....the day is over................no hugs.....no kisses.......no, i remember the day you were born stories..................................but in my heart are many memories......................................................so proud of the young women they have both become....................................................Happy Birthday to my heart strings............. ............................................i am blessed...............& i love you more!

through the door.....

through the door this day..........................this is my craft room...............which is normally just piled up with things, and i rarely have room to work on the table........always set up another in the family room........and need i say more ...............................but..................in the last week since openhouse has finished.....the strangest of things has happened................................Asher sits at the computer to watch "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" (the only one he is interested in)..............and i for some reason have been working at the so called craft table.......and have accomplished so much, i have amazed myself.................what a novel idea, actually working at a craft table....................some visitors say this is their favorite room in the house...one little girl, named Mia, in particular............................................i have used alot of what i call my "memory items" in this room.....i could write a book on this room alone....................but at the door is an old screen door that i used at craft fairs for years, and in the remodel, i grabbed the screwdriver and hung it up (not too sturdy by the way), but i love it.....................and my dress makers form that has been part of me for i would hate to say how long...she is draped with old pieces of crochet and lace that was my mom's........................it is a comfortable space, tiny, but comfy and alot of memories to keep me company along with Asher as i work at the "craft table"....imagine what might get done, as i walk through the door.................................... ......................................................................... i am blessed !

well.........it has been a morning of errands...........................and now sit down to the sewing machine with the little scarecrow guys..........................................still trying to recover, and get on track.....although..........................i have accomplished alot this week.......................no pictures yet, so here is another from open house.................................have a wonderful autumn day............. i love autumn.....................................my favorite time of year...............&...............i am blessed!
