my quiet spot.....

i have been redoing my screen porch off the bedroom ......................... you saw a pic a few weeks ago and it has taken on a different look ........ a look and feel of comfort ..............................

 it is so amazing what a few gradual changes can do for a soul ......................... it is my favorite place to sit in the calm of the day ............................. a place for prayer ............ bible study ............... just listening to God and opening up to the possibilities of each new day ..........................

................................................... i certainly am blessed ........ and i know it ............. thank you Lord !

the little things........

it is definitely the little things that make me happy ................................................. 

 the hay field across the road is the most beautiful it has ever been ............................. the sound of the tractor in the field ..................... the smell of the fresh cut hay ............................ and seeing the return of the cows to the rented field behind us (sorry they are hiding right now!) ................ i have missed them so ........

yes .............. it is the little things ............... and ........................ i am blessed !

it was a day of laughter (as always) .................... sharing ......................... encouragement .................

 stories ...................................... and much needed .............. refreshing of the spirit ......................

a poppy moment....

just a quick little poppy moment.........................so thrilled i have a few of mamaw's poppys........what a gardener she was .......................wish i had her touch ................................but thrilled i at least have these ..............

still looking.....

still looking for just the right cabinet to replace our sink ........................................ this bathroom was remodeled thirty yrs. ago .......................... still can't believe mr. prairie blue agreed to remove a perfectly normal bathtub to install this clawfoot .................. we installed old barnboards ........... had a barnboard cabinet built and a brick tile floor ..........this old wall mounted sink is starting to rust in the bottom ........ only one of the two faucets now work ................................ ready to move on to a little different look ........................ thinking of painting the boards with a wash of paint .................................... can you believe until ten years ago, this was our only bathroom ....... no shower......and this tub is a short one .................... quite the experience for mr. prairie blue and our two daughters that are tall as well ............................................. so glad they love me and put up with "the look"!.................. so i now will continue on looking for just the right thing to come along .....................................
