the sweetest sound....

outside my window today is the sweetest sound................you know that amazing little tune that a bird will sing.............the one of hope..comfort..joy..peace.........................that tune that gives you the lift you need for the day....the one that cheers you on to better days...................................a few years ago, while caring for my parents, is the first time that i actually noticed birds singing at night..............oh what a comfort at a very difficult time..............................................this postcard is dated 1909~Laura C. has written FORGET ME NOT.........somehow it makes me think back now to those long difficult nights.....i will not forget how God allowed me to notice birds singing in the night..............................i am blessed!

quiet friends.........

just had this thought today..........................you know how there are people in your life, you may not see everyday or even weeks on end.............but none the less those people are special in your life.....they touch your soul, you think of them often, you send up a prayer for them, the very thought of them makes you smile :-).............hopefully it is just for awhile ....they are our quiet friends........................i am blessed!

grow old along with me...

it was a day much like today.........sunshine, a little nip in the air.................a young girl all of twenty, anxious to become a bride....to begin a new life with a husband .................oh how the years have slipped by..........has it really been thirty-nine......it can't be, it seems only yesterday that I gave my hand to a dear sweet man....expecting him to grow old along with me ..............

tis time to plant...

well it is the time to think of new beginnings......little sprouts, newness across the country, everything clean & fresh...................ahhhhhh new beginnings..........maybe a time for a little mental makeover.....................a time to rethink things................a time to plant some new ideas, rearranging, revamping, regrouping........................oh tis a time to plant................we shall see what sprouts!.............................................i am blessed!

where to start blues.........

well........i am back from a visit with my daughter, we now have the new grandbaby, and it is time to get down to business!............you know the kind of business i mean.....declutter, organize, refresh, spring clean!!!..........time to make new goodes for the shop, time to freshen the gardens, clean the garage (oh my!), lighten things a little, revamp the shop,....... soooooooo what do i do.........I GOT A PEDICURE!......i think this shall brighten my spirits a little and get me past this "where do i start blues"...............................anyway here are a few blues to share with you this day......................................................I am blessed!

as you all know....we recently welcomed a new grand baby into our lives...........a dear friend of mine did as well................................we share Grammy stories, we smile & laugh together, we cry together, we share all our pride and joys of being a Grammy.................I guess I have babies on my mind!.....................................I am blessed!
