a tiny little bird....

it's only the beginning.............it's the feeling of Christmas in the air........the nip in the air.......frost on the ground........greens hung across the doorway.......trees in each corner..........and tiny little voices thrilled with a toy catalog................................twinkling lights......cranberries........and this tiny little bird..........................................................i am blessed!

blessed in this nest......

where the blues began.....

tattered.....................worn.......................in pieces............................oh the stories it could tell me...........................this is my most prized bonnet.......................... the beginning of my passion for blue calico.........................................over 30 yrs. ago granny had me go through scraps of fabric & such..................................rolled up....tied with string.........................my heart began to flutter a bit..................my great grandmother's old blue calico bonnet...................what a precious gift for a great grand daughter..................................so fragile.......what shall i do with it ..........................for now it lays in an old weathered basket with other calico friends......too fragile to reassemble....................so i just look over occasionaly.......take in a sigh .......and think of her in her garden.........or gathering eggs.....................or calling in the cow.............oh my goodness.............................................i am so blessed!

one of my favorite things is lighting a room....................something about a lit candle...or a tiny little lamp in the corner of a room..................a little glimmer of hope ............................calm...............serenity...................peace.................................................

time to get rid of the blues....................all glued.......sanded.......stained...........................a week till open house..................................................i got the blues.......................................................but.............................................i am blessed!

it's the peek~a~boo post on the display chain today...........i try to hide almost everything modern...............just sharing a few today.....................in our laundry area.......................an old coffee bin for dirty clothes.........dye box (actually holding my rit dyes)........................and the old bleach bottles i have made into soap & laundry softener containers............................i could post on this one for a week, but it is a busy day.................................i am blessed!
