is there anything sweeter..........watching a bird take a bath ........................... my Daddy made this birdbath for my Mamaw years ago ......................... it now sits in my flowerbed ......... with a big chip out of the middle .................. and much character ............................... swim on little birdie !

what a joyous week it had started out to be ......... a three day visit with our daughter & her three ......... spending two of those days with our other daughter and her little one as well ................... a trip to the park .... picnic ................ a wade in the creek .................. mc donald's ...... a play park ..................... croquet ....soccer ................ riding the gator ............... watching the cows ................. wonderful joys of "grammyhood" ............ we were to keep the oldest two grands for the rest of the week .......................................... with a call our plans changed .................. i lost a cousin yesterday ....and an aunt this morning.........praying for peace for both their families .......................... my favorite scripture captures it all .................................................................................................

"weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning"  Psalm 30: 5

on the table.....

welllllll ............... i think it has happened ..................... my creative juices have started flowing again ................... on the table today ............................. beads ...... charms ................crimps ............. a special order has caused me to pull out the goods ..................... you know .... the goods that make you work ...think ....... assemble ........................... i try to keep some mustard seed jewelry in the shop,(thus fitting the shop name) ........................ but people "love" the mustard seed themed jewelry ..................i have so failed at this lately .................... but........ now it is time to give it a go again!.......................... i have had some people in discussion over the mustard seed say "it's for good luck"......... which gives me the perfect opportunity to explain that it is not for luck it is for "FAITH" and move on into the scripture .......... 

Oh Lord ...................... please give me many  more opportunities is my prayer ....................

a treasure of a day......

the ad read "Barn Sale"....... caught my attention right away ...........................my kind of things ..................... on the complete opposite side of the county ...................... an area i am not quite familiar with ............................... should i or not venture out on my own ................ mr. prairie blue mapped it out for me and off i went .................... unfamiliar ..... but a beautiful part of our county ............................ should i attempt the steep drive up this old gravel road .................... ? ............................ so glad i did ........................ where treasures were for the picking .................. a few old tin items, old wash boiler, dish pans ..................... etc. and this old concrete table .............. weathered to perfection .................................................................. ......................................

but ................................ the most wonderful treasure of all ......................... running into one of my customers ...................... stating i was in a part of the county i was not too familiar with ..................... she says to me " i just live down the road, why don't you stop by for a visit" ............................... i just love how you think you are doing one thing, and have your day planned and God takes you on a completely different excursion ....................................it was such a treasure of a day ............................. thank you Lord, for laying the day out before me and putting all things into place ............................................i am so blessed !

oh my ............................ is there anything better than sitting on the porch in the summer ........with a soft gentle breeze blowing ............................ and a glass of sweet tea .................... nope ...............nothin' better in my opinion ...............................................................

the days are done for the spring tour........................................... the 16 batches of popcorn ............................9 pitchers of peach tea ..............................7 pitchers of sweet tea ..................................the slam of the wooden screen door (which i love, reminds me of Granny's store) ..................................... the hugs  of old friends ............................... the tears shared .................................... the meeting of new folks ............................... the stories told ............................. a gift left everytime... on my craftroom desk from a dear friend (thank you sweetie!)..........................................the long forgotten days of the things i didn't accomplish or finish up (my Mom always said..."oh don't worry about it, they don't know what you didn't get done"....thanks Mom, i always try to remind myself!).................

now.................................... it is time for the talk with myself..................... pull it together.................. pace yourself......................get ready for the next one ........................after all it will be here before i know it.............. "getter done ! "..................................yep......................................... thanks to all my friends and customers....................................... i am blessed !

the tour.......

it has been a busy week preparing for our Spring Tour............................. i have not been in to this one this time and am relying on stock i already had with the exception of a very few small things .................. don't know if it is a sign for me to retire "Mustard Seed" or just give myself a little talking to ................... but ................... this is where i will probably be until next week ....................... have a blessed weekend my friends ................................................................................
