a merry season.......

a day to remember the very reason for this season..........

in life we have so many decisions to make.......which way do i go.......

outside this window.....

this is the view outside our window this evening....... 

a nasty... dreary day......an openhouse day..... but all is well..........

they still came......

............ and i am blessed!

oh where does time go....

i really don't know where the sweet days of summer dwindled off to...   the hot days  are starting to pass & occasionally a day or two with a hint of Autumn in the air...... this morning i actually smelled the faint scent of woodsmoke......hoping you have all had a special time of memories made & times of blessings!

i am so blessed.......!

sidelined.....

occasionally........ in life we get a little sidelined!  

sometimes we are prepared ... sometimes not ....... i  had a weeks preparation for foot surgery ....  

days leading up i tried to gather projects to have sitting beside my chair for "sit down & do it" .... days while keep an elevated, iced foot ........ 

surgery was Monday ..... no pain .... slow, walker moving ... & a few projects started!!!!!

sidelines are not always so easy , painless, or able to accomplish projects in the midst!

may i always try to accept either version ....   

i am blessed !💙

waiting .....

Nettie & i are waiting .....

waiting for nice weather ... waiting to get my spaces organized ...waiting to do bucket list ideas .... why do we wait so much ..... why can't i just jump in and do ........ 

i always feel like i need to get things in order ...... before .....

before what ...... i think it is time to just "do instead of  wait!"

still contemplating this mans life ....... my goodness how he has touched our souls ....... & .........

challenged us ......

expecting us.......

to do it right......

faithful ..............

we lost a true example of a "faithful servant" .......... so impressed that his casket was made by prisoners , in a very simple design, as was his wife's......... 

my thoughts have wandered all week to ....... how faithful am i.......  does my life show a faithful servant. ..... humble ...... kind ....... understanding ...... selfless ...... 

i find  ....... i may need to adjust a few things .........  i know i fail at so many ........ 

praying for a heart of a "faithful servant"

a purple day........

she loved purple.......my best friend.....my encourager.....my cheerleader.....the first one I would run to call, in joy & defeat (still want to)........ the very person i would run an idea past for the shop & her reply would always be "now we just have to come up with a better mouse trap, "......as she would would wave her index finger at me....missing her today on her birthday.......  love you mom!

winter white......

winter white ...... the days are filled with wood stove smoke ...... warm soup on the stove ..... snow days & ice days....   Nettie Blue sleeping on my pillow above my head ..... snuggling close to the fire under a throw ..... driving north to spend days with our daughter ..... projects swirling in my head ...... & a stack of paint chips to paint rooms long over do for a fresh new coat ........ &......... days of " internet issues".......... i will say no more....
