old lace......

i have been thinking of these pieces of lace for days........i am really not a lace person, but my mother loved it......cherished it's value....it's workmanship......it's dainty little ability to put a smile on your face......................she was so thrilled when a piece would come into her life at an unexpected moment.......................so all those pieces were treasured by her, and now by me, hanging in my craftroom window as a curtain .......letting the sunlight filter through the tiny little threads that have been woven together.......woven into precious memories .................."Lord, let me grow old like beautiful lace, cherished and treasured and cared for with grace..." unknown..................................................i am blessed !

wading in the creek......

oh for the time......to just dip my toes into the creek.........................oh it is the long hot summer days that takes me back to a simpler time..........a time when life was not rushed........a day of skipping off to the creek....( or as Granny calls it the branch)..........when you would count the tadpoles........chase the skaters across the top of the water..........turnover the rocks, looking for treasures..........examine the cool green moss...................................shoes off...socks off ........and.......that cool refreshing feel of the water slowly trickling over the top of your feet.....................................ahhhhhhh, just to dip my toes or wade in the creek.....................oh yes, i am blessed!

a lady's dream.....

........................a tiny log cabin on a hill.....a day of three friends pulling together sharing ideas, dreams, long awaited treasures pulled from the shed................oh the anticipation of lingering moments on the porch.......sipping a cup of coffee by the woodstove.....rughooking in the loft.......sharing all the special things in a friends life.................................soon to be realized.............all of these are a lady's dream.....................................so thrilled for a wonderful friend..................................................................by the way, watch for pictures soon.........................i am blessed!
