two colors....black & blue.....

two colors display link with 1890 Gable House..................................my fist thought whirled around the new rug i am working on............................you all read the story of our new bed.......which all began with a black & blue quilt my mom loaned me years ago....it never went home..................................so the journey is finally coming together for our room.............the quilt now hangs from the canopy of our new bed.............blue coverlet......old black calico dresses.....an old blue photo album......blue calico snippets here and there...........................and this rug when finished will hang over the antique blue cupboard traded with a friend........i will look over at it every morning as I check the clock.........i will take in a sigh, feel a little pride for the most favorite rug i have ever made......relax.......breath in .....and out.....................thank God for another morning.........and realize....................................................i am blessed!

a simple little blessing....

i am too busy....are you?..................................in the busyness of my week......there at my feet as i step out of the car..................................a tiny little sprout of queen anne's lace..........one of my favs by the way.....................................................i stop.....look down at my feet...........and i just have to smile..............................................how GOD sends us just the tiniest ...........most simple little blessings.......................ahhhhhh........ GOD IS SO GOOD !.......................and...........................i am blessed!

joining the link this week with "1890 Gable House".......an item only you could love.............i honestly thought i was the only one, but have had many people admire my treasure as well.......this treasure......large.....free.....transported by tractor & lowboy ........to our property a few years ago.......a sweet little old lady of 85.....saw the treasure as valuable..... it needed a home.......i was the receiver of this old 4 seater outhouse..............................my treasure.....my pride & joy.....................oh what would my Mom say about this one........she would say once more...."only you"...............................................i am blessed !

an autumn memory........................28 years ago...........................our baby girl in this photo will be turning 30 this weekend.....................................where has the time gone............................oh how i miss those days of puppy tails.....pony tails......french braids...............................pink frilly dresses........................................oh but my heart is so full............................................full now of.......legos......rescue heroes.......matchbox cars............................you know.......the boy things.................................................................................i am so blessed!

well dear friends.....

welllllll my dear sweet friends......................tomorrow is open house.......the weather just right.....the yard & weeds trimmed up........pumpkins in the straw......mums ready for cool weather.....a fodder shock or two.......................................yes it is time.........though I am disappointed with things i did not finish.........it is time...............................my mom always told me...."they don't know what you didn't get finished"..............disappointed still the same............so dear friends, that is where i have been.....................hopefully back in the swing of normal soon...................................................i am blessed !
