simple & blessed.....

the simpleness of twinkling lights ...... my mom's Santas ...... the calm ..... the peace......  

the complete simpleness of just realizing ..... how blessed !

in the cold of the night......

seems like we just jumped into the cold ..... the days were warm & suddenly it is here ..... that time when we love to snuggle under a blanket and sit close to the fire ......... that day we realize what is coming ... we become ever so mindful of how things are brown ... and dreary & cold when we look out the window and can no longer linger in the yard to spruce up our surroundings ........ i think it is God's way of saying " rest a bit ".... time for us to concentrate on US ... our well being ... mental..physical..spiritual .....,,,,, the time to renew ourselves ... our indoor homes ... & tackling that long list of things to do ........,,, yes...,,,, that is what i will do .....,, first me ..... " renew me Oh Lord "...................i am blessed !

"Nettie Blue"......

been a busy little Prairie Blue town trying to ready for the next open house tour ....... the one little bright spot has been an answered prayer ....... i have just prayed for quite awhile that God would send me a kitty ......... well....... she has been here a week & i think she has adopted me ..... since it is "National Cat Day" i think it is time to make it official ........... not a very good picture ...... but meet my "Nettie Blue"........ LOVE ..................

such a little thing.......

isn't it so funny how such a little thing can bring joy .......... if such a little thing as a old worn salt box can bring me joy ......... what could we do for others that would make them smile today .... or just make them know that someone cares ..... maybe .... just maybe ...... it will be the thing they are looking for ........... such a little thing indeed !
